The idea of Gloria
The car is built with cost containment in mind, leaving more room for competition prizes. Simple and reliable mechanical parts are engineered to maximise racing performance. Multiple suspension and aerodynamics controls facilitate reconfiguration for various degrees of driving skills. The races are organised with care and attract more media coverage than other categories . All vehicles offer high security standards for drivers and a smooth drive coupled with incredible speed. This is the essence of Gloria, the first real single-seater conceived for those who are looking to grow from a karting experience towards the direction of professional racing, and enjoy a highly competitive environment at the same time. Gloria is opening new horizons on the sports landscape, and challenges a number of recently-formed categories for karting enthusiasts both from a technical and competitive standpoint, as well as offering highly appealing promotions and prizes. In addition, Gloria offers better accessibility compared to other categories, thanks to its reduced management and running costs .Gloria's proposition is to help young talents emerge by offering more consistent prizes which will enable the winners to further their sports career onto the highest categories.
Enrico Glorioso
Fifty years old, a business degree from Turin Polytechnic, Enrico Glorioso was born with car racing in his blood. He still holds on jealously to the complete collection since 1961 of "Auto Italiana" magasines, a publication now disappeared.
His first experience as a driver was in 1969: a clandestine rally where he manages to run even if under the minimum age.
Two years later the official debut into car sports, a passion that keeps him going until the late eighties, and leaves him with an enviable logbook of over sixty official rally competitions.
In 1977 Enrico starts the SPARCO company, leader in racing garments and accessories, as well as specialized competition spares. Today the company has a turnover in excess of 51 million Euro, subsidiaries in the US and France and employs more than 250 people.
Enrico Glorioso is well known for his ability to identify new business opportunities that go hand in hand with his passion for races.
A few years ago he decides to make the big leap and make his lifelong dream come true. It's the beginning of “Gloria”.Soon the vision materializes into a two-colour livery: Burgundy, a noble colour in the red range, because red does belong to Italian single-seaters - and Gold, that special touch that represents victory.
